In a massive drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 25 bovine animals at different nakas established in the jurisdiction of PS Jhajjar Kotli and PP Sidhra. Also 7 vehicles i.e 6 vehicles bearing Registration Nos. JK02AV 7394, JK02BT/6315, JK14C/9659, JK21C/4921, JK02BV/7819 and JK08D/5191, by PS Jhajjar Kotli and 1 vehicle bearing Registration No. JK11E-0588 by pp Sidhra have also been seized.
In this regard, different cases FIR No. 130/2021 u/s 188 IPC, 131/2021 u/s 188 IPC and 132/2021 u/s 188 IPC got registered in Police station Jhajjar Kotli and cognizance taken by PP Sidhra. Also, seven drivers have been arrested. Accused arrested have been identified as:
1. Pawan Kumar S/O Subhash Chander R/O Mago wali R.S.Pura, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
2. Happy chowdhary S/O Balwant Raj R/O Chak Hiran Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
3. Ghulam Rasool S/O Ajub Khan R/O Dhalpur Udhampur, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
4. Gurmeet Singh S/O Avtar Singh R/O Jerda Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
5. Sadiq Mohd S/O Abhi Mohd R/O Gajansoo Tehsil Math District Jammu, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
6. Kamaljeet S/O Des Raj R/O Chhowhai Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba, by PS Jhajjar Kotli
7. Irshad Hussain S/O Mohd Hussain R/O Bajalta Tehsil & District Jammu, by PP Sidhra
The arrests and recoveries have been made by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr. Devinder Singh and I/C PP Sidhra SI Shakil Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Nagtrota
Sh. Parupkar Singh. Further investigation of the cases is going on.
District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.
